Carpet Spotting Tips
These simple carpet spotting tips can help you maintain your carpets in between our professional carpet cleaning services. The goal when spot cleaning is to remove the spot as much as possible without making it worse. Keep in mind to stay safe when mixing chemicals!
- 1/3 cup vinegar and 2/3 cups water can remove many organic stains like pet stains, coffee and tea stains.
- 1 Tbs. clear household ammonia in ½ cup water can be used for red wine, milk, ketchup, soft drinks followed by vinegar and water.
- Dry cleaning solvents can be used to remove cosmetics and paint. Do not use water or any water solution. Make sure to use only on the stained fibers. Do not allow on backing of carpet.
